Yael esther Mor
Yael Esther Mor is a performer, theater maker, and writer who explores the space between comedy and drama. In her work, she reflects and reimagines the world around her in personal, humorous, and occasionally provocative ways, exploring the rawness and vulnerability of human experience with tenderness and irony.
Mor graduated from the Nissan Nativ Acting Studio in Tel Aviv with an Excellence Scholarship and received the Best Actress award in 2019 for her role in Sarah Kane’s Blasted at Habait Theater in Tel Aviv. She has performed in leading repertory theaters in Israel, including HaKameri Theatre in Tel Aviv and the Khan Theatre in Jerusalem, as well as in fringe productions and children’s plays. Alongside her acting, she writes and creates original theater pieces, audio plays, texts, and short films.
Since moving to Berlin in 2022, Yael has presented her work at festivals and venues including Berliner Festspiele, Ballhaus OST, and Münchner Kammerspiele. She curates interdisciplinary evenings of performance, text, and music, and facilitates writing and performance workshops.
Yael Esther Mor is a member of the artist collective AFAIK, together with Maidje Meergans and Katharina Ruhm. In 2025, she was selected for the Mentorship Program of the Performing Arts Program Berlin.
